Otsego Haus

Are you a family caregiver needing help? Give yourself the break you need and let us help and care for your loved one!

Otsego Haus is an adult day service facility whose mission is to provide quality care in a safe, homelike environment. Otsego Haus is designed to serve older adults who may require supervision, increased social opportunities, and/or assistance with personal care or other activities of daily living.

  • 1-to-3 “staff-to-client” ratio

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Rate: $45.00 per day or $7.50 per hour. OCCOA recognizes that attending the Otsego Haus can be cost prohibitive. Three different grants and a scholarship program are available to aid those who qualify for financial assistance. Payment plans are also available.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there a minimum age requirement to attend the Otsego Haus?

Yes! Clients need to be age 55 or older.

Does my loved one need to meet any other qualifications to attend the Otsego Haus?

Our nursing staff will meet with you and your loved one to complete a thorough assessment to determine whether or not Otsego Haus will benefit your loved one.

May clients have visitors?

Yes! Visitors are welcome anytime during business hours.

Is the Otsego Haus only just for women?

No! The Otsego Haus facilitates programs to enhance socialization for both men and women.

What do we have to do to start?

Phone us at the Otsego County Commission on Aging at 732-1122 to schedule an assessment!
