Here are some other ways to help:

It’s not too late to join the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s!  Purple commemorative Forget-Me-Not paper flowers may be purchased at many Otsego County merchants until Friday, November 7th for a $1.00 donation, each.

Additionally, Memory Walk Planning Committee members are selling raffle tickets for the Memory Walk, Swim, Skate for Alzheimer’s Raffle (license #R98245).  The first-place prize for the raffle is $1,000; the second-place prize is $300; and the third-place prize is $100.  Seven fourth-place prizes of $50 each will also be awarded.  The tickets are $20 each and only 300 tickets will be sold.  The prizes will be raffled off during the closing ceremony of the walk.

You may register as an individual or with a team!

Those wishing to register now, may visit the Alzheimer's Association's website www.alz.org/memorywalk/overview.asp . Those who would still like to participate can register at the beginning of the event this Saturday. Donations will also be accepted the day of the walk and any remaining raffle tickets will be for sale up until the beginning of the closing ceremony or until they are all sold. It is not necessary, however, to walk, swim, or skate - everyone is encouraged to come to the Sportsplex and join in the fellowship and fun! Whichever way you might choose to support this important fundraiser, please join us this Saturday at the Otsego County Sportsplex in the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s!

If you have questions or would like to know more about how you can join in the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s, please log onto the Alzheimer’s Association website at www.alz.org or call (800) 272-3900. You may also call the Otsego County Commission on Aging at 732-1122.
