Volunteer OpportuntiesThe Otesgo County Commission on Aging currently has the following volunteer job opportunities available: Minor Home Repairs Volunteer Supervisor Chore Service Volunteers
The Otsego County Commission on Aging is in need of volunteers to assist with its Chore Service Program for such things as leaf raking, spring and fall yard cleanup, garden bed cleanup, tree/shrub trimming, washing windows, packing/moving assistance, etc. To learn more, please complete the “Contact Us” page at the top right-rand corner of this website or contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 732-1122.
Dance Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to assist with monthly dances sponsored by the Otsego County Commission on Aging. Help is needed with overseeing the dances and selling entry, 50/50 and bucket tickets. Dances take place on the third Saturday of every other month. Meal Site Volunteers
The Otsego County Commission on Aging is need of older adults to volunteer their time at the Gaylord Meal Site at the noon meals, making change, signing in participants, serving meals, or assisting with table cleanup. If you are interested, please complete the “Contact Us” page at the top right-rand corner of this website or contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 732-1122.
Trip Hosts/Hostesses The Otsego County Commission on Aging is in need of adults who are interested in volunteering their time to lead older adults on various agency-sponsored trips. There is an immediate need for two trips hosts/hostesses for the August 11, 2010 Tiger Game Trip to Comerica Park in Detroit. Trip hosts/hostesses will have their trip costs waved. This is a perfect volunteer activity for married couples! Training, provided by the Otsego County Volunteer Department, is mandatory.
