Survey Mailed to Current and Former Otsego Haus Caregivers
The Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA) Research Department mailed out an Otsego Haus Survey to two groups of Otsego Haus caregivers - those who are caregivers of current clients and those who are/were caregivers of former clients.  A survey was mailed to each of the 16 current caregivers.  A slightly different survey was mailed to 119 caregivers of former clients.  As of Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 8 surveys were returned by the current caregivers and 38 surveys were returned by the former caregivers. 

$25 Gift Card Drawing Winners Announced!
Participating caregivers in the two survey groups had the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $25 gift card from the store of their choice (Glen's Markets, Wal-Mart, and Meijer).  The drawing for the two gifts cards took place on Friday, June 18, 2010.  The OCCOA Research Department is pleased to announce the winners from the two groups:

• Nancy Krompotich of Gaylord - Current Caregiver (she selected a $25 Meijer gift card)
• Joseph Hartley of Johannesburg - Former Caregiver (he selected a $25 Glen's Markets gift card)

On behalf of the Otesgo County Commission on Aging, the Research Department would like to thank the 46 respondents who took the time to complete and return their surveys.  Anyone wishing to still complete and return their survey may do so until Friday, June 25, 2010.  All together, your input will be very helpful in ensuring that the Otsego Haus program will offer the best support possible to caregivers and the highest quality of care to its clients.

 The critical responsibility for the generation you're in is to help provide the shoulders, the direction, and the support for those generations who come behind.
